7 Creating Standard Paths
Paths are required for defining outlines which are later filled with tints,
gradients, images or text. Paths are non-printing elements which are
stored together with the layout.
ORIS PDF Tuner distinguishes between two types of paths:
• Standard Paths such as rectangles, circles or stars, which all have
an individual and specific creation function.
Standard paths can be corrected at any time and in the same way in
which they were created, e.g. by changing the individual coordinates,
angles, radii, etc.
• Combined Paths are paths which can only be corrected using the
Path Editor. They can be created with this tool and are also the
result of combining, separating or distorting standard paths.
Click this button to create paths with the Path Editor (see page 9-1).
Any path can be transformed in many different ways, e.g. scaled, rotated
or mirrored.
Moreover, the outlines of text characters are also defined by (combined)
paths. When writing text, the paths are automatically filled with a color.
Note:
It is not possible to reverse the creation, modification or deletion of paths
using the EDIT | UNDO function.
