PDF/X
Use this parameter if the output documents should comply with one of
the following PDF/X standards:
• PDF/X-1A:2001 (ISO 15930-1)
• PDF/X-3:2002 (ISO 15930-3)
• PDF/X-1A:2003 (ISO 15930-4)
• PDF/X-3:2003 (ISO 15930-6)
The program will automatically change the settings in this dialog so that
all of them are in accordance with the selected PDF/X standard. This includes
the following settings:
• Composite output (no separated data)
• All fonts embedded
• All images embedded (none replaced by OPI comments)
• No RGB images, only CMYK, grayscales and spot colors
• No LZW image compression
• Files are created in a specific PDF version
• ICC output profile must be embedded (see OUTPUT INTENT below)

Data format
PostScript, EPS and PDF files can be ASCII or BINARY coded. Usually binary
encoding is advisable. Only use ASCII encoding if errors occur during
data transfer to the output device. This increases file size slightly.
