1 Introduction
Congratulations on choosing ORIS PDF Tuner, the all-in-one program
which integrates page assembly, image manipulation and PDF/PS editing
into one powerful program.
All tasks generally associated with QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Freehand
and Photoshop can be wonderfully completed with ORIS PDF Tuner –
and much more!
The high-performance PDF/PostScript interpreter converts existing layouts
into separate objects which can then be edited as you like. Layouts
can be exported to many output formats, including PDF, PostScript,
DCS, TIFF/IT-P1 and Scitex Handshake. Automatic checks during data
input and output ensure maximum production reliability.
Getting Started with ORIS PDF Tuner
This document tries to describe the entire functionality of ORIS PDF
Tuner. Although the document includes a Quick Start to Page Assembly
(see page 4-1), it is basically a reference manual which may not always
be helpful if you are a novice user.
To get started with ORIS PDF Tuner we recommend the following publication:
ORIS Page - A quick and easy guide with 10 handy workshops
On 65 pages this useful guide explains how to create new layouts, edit
images, and correct PDF files. Everything is explained step by step with
many illustrations and practical examples presented as workshops.
Both the guide and the workshops files can be downloaded from the
CGS Web site http://www.cgs-oris.com. There are separate editions for
the Macintosh and Windows version of ORIS PDF Tuner.
