Note:
The SHARPENING FACTOR FOR ALL IMAGES is applied to a scaled image if
this factor is higher than the degree of sharpening calculated from the
FACTOR FOR SCALED IMAGES ONLY.
Scaled images are only sharpened if they are downsampled to a lower
resolution. When creating PDF, EPS or PS documents, this option is
therefore only available if the REDUCE IMAGE RESOLUTION or ADJUST IM-
AGES TO OUTPUT RESOLUTION option is enabled (see page 3-24).
Scaled images resampled to a higher resolution will not be sharpened.

The following sharpening values are calculated if the FACTOR FOR
SCALED IMAGES ONLY is set to 1.0:

Sharpening value: 0.0 0.2 0.6 1.0 1.4 1.8 2.2 2.6 3.0 3.4 3.5
The internal sharpening values 0.0–3.5 are identical to those of ORIS
PDF Tuner’s interactive sharpening function (see page 28-1 and 15-1).
Exclude marked layers from sharpening
Using this option you can prevent particular images from being sharpened.
These image layers must have been flagged in ORIS PDF Tuner
using the MARK function in the MENU window (see page 16-17).
