Additional Options
• If LINE MODE appears in the STATUS window, continuous lines are
always produced, regardless of the cursor speed.
Brush shape
Use this function to select the brush shape. The function toggles between
CIRCLE and SQUARE (displayed in the STATUS window).
Box cursor
Use this function to change the way the brush is displayed. You can toggle
between two settings:
• The brush is always displayed as a cross, regardless of the current
brush shape
• The brush is displayed as a square or a circle, according to the current
brush shape
Additional Options
Reorganizing Linework Color Table
Scitex Handshake (not NLW) and TIFF/IT linework files can store a maximum
of 255 colors. If this limit has been reached, you can try to make
room for new definitions by reorganizing the table. This removes unused
colors and combines multiple definitions of the same color.
Use the COLOR TABLE function (see page 26-1) in the MENU window to
check whether there are any unused colors or colors with multiple definitions.
This is also indicated in the STATUS window (see page 26-11).
To reorganize a linework color table:
1. Press F10 or select IMAGE | RETOUCH,Select CLEAN TABLE in the
MENU window. A dialog appears (see below).
2. Enable the options REMOVE UNUSED COLORS and/or MERGE SAME
COLORS.
3. Click OK, then press RETURN/ENTER or click .
Note:
Due to the complexity of a linework, it may happen that the reorganization
cannot be carried out in one step. A warning appears if this occurs.
In this case press RETURN/ENTER to end the RETOUCH function, then reselect
RETOUCH and CLEAN TABLE.
