Saving ORIS PDF Tuner Layouts
• Layers or layers parts which exceed the layout format will not be
printed or EXPORTED.
• Layers on the inserted layout that exceed the layout borders will be
inserted completely.
Saving ORIS PDF Tuner Layouts
Overwriting Original File
Note:
• Click , select FILE | SAVE. – or
• Press +S (Mac OS) or CTRL+S (Windows).
ORIS PDF Tuner automatically renames the layout currently stored on
disk to *.DDP_BAK (i.e. same file name, different extension) before actually
saving it. Thus you can always restore the previously saved state.
You cannot overwrite images, TIFF/IT or Scitex Handshake documents
opened as ORIS PDF Tuner layouts. Use SAVE AS to save them to a new
file.
Saving Under a Different Name
• Use Select FILE | SAVE AS. – or
• Press +SHIFT+S (Mac OS) or CTRL+SHIFT+S (Windows).
The layout displayed on the screen is the layout saved under the new
name. The original layout does not include the modifications you have
saved under the new name.
Exporting a Duplicate
How to save a duplicate of the current layout under a new name or to
another directory:
1. Select FILE | EXPORT.
2. Select EXPORT A COPY from the OUTPUT FORMAT list.
3. Enter the new path name into the TARGET DIRECTORY box.
On Windows systems this input box is only visible if you have expanded
the dialog using the EXPAND >>> button.
4. Click OK.
Unlike the SAVE AS function, EXPORT A COPY additionally saves the current
layout to make sure that both are identical. Moreover, it does not
open the duplicate layout, but leaves the original layout open.
