Tips and Tricks Tips for Increasing Performance http://www.image2output.com The Color Tuner software includes predefined hotfolders which automatically color-correct documents and output them on a printer. This software allows you to create ‘virtual printers’ which can be selected in any Windows or Mac application. This allows you to color-correct and print documents directly from QuarkXPress or other DTP applications. ORIS PDF Tuner layouts can also be sent to a print hotfolder in the following way: 1. Select FILE | EXPORT. 2. Select EXPORT A COPY from the OUTPUT FORMAT list. 3. Enter the name of the hotfolder path into the TARGET DIRECTORY box. 4. Click OK. See also Exporting a Duplicate (page 5-5). Note: Unlike the SAVE AS function, EXPORT A COPY additionally saves the current layout to make sure that both are identical. Moreover, it does not open the duplicate layout, but leaves the original layout open. Fast Low-Quality Printing If you only need a fast printout and do not care too much for quality, you may want to use the PRINT function on the ORIS PDF Tuner FILE menu. This function allows you to print the current window (ORIS PDF Tuner layout, image or image overview) on any printer installed on your system. You can use the FILE | PRINT PREVIEW function to check if the window to be printed will fit onto the paper. If it doesn’t, select FILE | PRINT SETUP and select another paper size or format. In the print preview you can click the PRINT button in order to display the PRINT dialog. Note: You should not be too demanding in regards to quality. The colors of such printouts are far from being exact. If you have zoomed in on a layout, only the currently displayed layout section will be printed. If you have zoomed out, the printout will be pixelated. The print size of images depends on the resolution and number of pixels.
