Switching Between ‘Dot’ and ‘Line’ Mode
Using the DOT/LINE function in the MENU window you can toggle between
two brushing modes.
The current mode is indicated in the STATUS window.
• DOT MODE
Quick cursor movements produce single scattered dots. Dots are
never connected with each other.
• LINE MODE
As many dots as required are created in order to produce closed,
almost even lines.
Defining Distance Between Dots
Use this slider or input box to specify how far the mouse has to be moved
before a new dot is brushed or erased. The unit is the percentage of the
current brush size.
Defining Dot Rate
Use this slider or input box to specify the number of dots per second to
be brushed when the cursor is not moved. With a dot rate of 1, only one
dot per second is brushed.
Using Current Brush Border When Erasing
When erasing ( ), the brush border is sharp by default.
However, the ERASER EFFECTS function in the MENU window allows you
to use the current brush border for erasing. Thus you can create blurred
borders, depending on the current brush border setting.
The STATUS window displays ERASER EFFECTS if this mode is enabled.
Reselect ERASER EFFECTS to switch back to erasing with sharp borders.
