• When placing a new image on the layout, click the button on the
TRANSFORMATIONS toolbar to scale the image accordingly.
• To scale existing image layers, activate them (see page 16-1), select
CORRECT on the MENU window, then click on the button.
Use the same method to rescale images after changing the EXPEC-
TED PRODUCTION RESOLUTION. They are not rescaled automatically.
Note: If TRANSFORM is used instead of CORRECT, clicking restores the
size the layer had before selecting TRANSFORM. It does not scale the
layer according to the EXPECTED PRODUCTION RESOLUTION.
Fine/Coarse
Use this parameter to define how to display CT images and linework on
a layout:
• FINE: Highest display resolution possible
This setting is required for the accurate positioning of high-res
images and, above all, linework in magnified layout areas.
• COARSE: Low display resolution
The preview (if any) is displayed for Image EPS (see page 20-21)
files.
Having changed this setting, select VIEW | REBUILD LAYOUT or press F5.
Automatic scale 1
Enable this setting if you want CT images and linework to be automatically
scaled according to the EXPECTED PRODUCTION RESOLUTION. If this
resolution is actually used, the image resolution will be identical to the
output resolution. This may prevent the need to resample the images,
which would result in a deterioration of image quality.
This option affects only new images placed on the layout. Existing image
layers are not modified. For more details refer to Expected Production
Resolution (page 5-9).
Guides snap area
The snap area is the area around a guide in which the cursor snaps to
the guide. Use this parameter to define the size to which this area should
default when you create new guides on a layout.
