Use output profile embedded in PDF file
PDF documents may have an ICC output profile embedded. If this option
is enabled, this profile is automatically used as output profile for the color
space transformation.
This option is only available if the current layout was created from a PDF
document with an embedded ICC profile. When importing the PDF file,
the profile is extracted and stored with the layout.
Note:
The USE OUTPUT INTENT EMBEDDED IN PDF FILE option on the DATA
FORMAT tab (available if PDF/X files are created, see page 3-19) merely
embeds the ICC profile in the output document. This means the color
correction will be calculated by the output device.

Apply additional output profile
Enable this option to match the embedded ICC output profile of a PDF
document with another output profile. You can use this functionality for
simulating the colors produced on the intended output device when
printing on an inkjet printer, for example.
Do the following to match the two output profiles:
1. Enable the USE OUTPUT PROFILE EMBEDDED IN PDF FILE option and
also the APPLY ADDITIONAL OUTPUT PROFILE option.
The second option is only available if the first has been enabled.
2. Specify the additional output profile using the PROFILE NAME option
(e.g. the ICC profile characterizing your inkjet printer).
3. Set the RENDERING INTENT to PERCEPTUAL (IMAGE).
4. Set the EMBEDDED PROFILES option to APPLY IF EXISTING, ELSE NO
COLOR CORRECTION.
The APPLY ADDITIONAL OUTPUT PROFILE option is only available if a layout
created from a PDF file with an embedded output profile is converted
into one of the output formats mentioned above.
Profile name
Specify the ICC profile characterizing the output color space, e.g. that of
a printing process or a standard color space such as SWOP or FOGRA.
• If APPLY ADDITIONAL OUTPUT PROFILE is enabled, specify the output
profile to be matched with the output profile embedded into the PDF
file.
