first degree in Thermodynamics from <strong>the</strong> Moscow Physical and Technical Institute<br />

in 1957, his candidate degree in <strong>the</strong> Physical and Ma<strong>the</strong>matical <strong>Sciences</strong> (applied<br />

ma<strong>the</strong>matics) from <strong>the</strong> Computing Center in 1964, and his doc<strong>to</strong>rate from <strong>the</strong><br />

Computing Center in 1974. He became a pr<strong>of</strong>essor in 1978, and was elected a<br />

corresponding member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Russian</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sciences</strong> in 1991. From 1958 <strong>to</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> present he has risen from a junior researcher, <strong>to</strong> Head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong><br />

Ma<strong>the</strong>matical Modeling <strong>of</strong> Economic Systems, and he has been an assistant, docent,<br />

and pr<strong>of</strong>essor at <strong>the</strong> Moscow Physical and Technical Institute from 1960 <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

present time. His interests include numerical methods for calculation <strong>of</strong> liquid<br />

oscillations within cavities <strong>of</strong> solid bodies, <strong>the</strong> development <strong>of</strong> ma<strong>the</strong>matical models<br />

and <strong>the</strong> ma<strong>the</strong>matical <strong>the</strong>ory <strong>of</strong> processes in economics.<br />

Presnukhin, Leonid N., D. Tech S. Born in 1918. Corresponding member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Information Science, Computer Technology, and Au<strong>to</strong>mation Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Academy</strong> since 1984. Since 1970, he has served as Rec<strong>to</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Electronic<br />

Engineering Institute at Zelenograd subordinate <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ministry <strong>of</strong> Higher and<br />

Secondary Specialized Education. The institute trains specialists on new trends in <strong>the</strong><br />

field <strong>of</strong> electronics technology.<br />

Reu<strong>to</strong>v, Aleksandr P. Born in 1926. Corresponding member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Information<br />

Science, Computer Technology, and Au<strong>to</strong>mation Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> since<br />

Burtsev. He is a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Bureau Governing Body <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Informatics,<br />

Computer Equipment and Au<strong>to</strong>matization Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Academy</strong>.<br />

Ryzhiy, Vik<strong>to</strong>r I., Corresponding member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Information Science, Computer<br />

Information Science, Computer Technology, and Au<strong>to</strong>mation Department <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Academy</strong> since December 1987. He is presently <strong>the</strong> Direc<strong>to</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Construc<strong>to</strong>r<br />

member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ma<strong>the</strong>matics, Mechanics, and Cybernetics department <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> Ukrainian <strong>Academy</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Sciences</strong>. He has been a corresponding member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Information <strong>Sciences</strong>, Computer Technology, and Au<strong>to</strong>mation department since<br />

1984. Since 1964, he has been Deputy Direc<strong>to</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> V. M. Glushkov Cybernetics<br />

Institute at Kiev. In 1967, he was awarded <strong>the</strong> N. Ostrovskii Ukrainian Lenin<br />
