institute was established in 1944 and does research in <strong>the</strong> development <strong>of</strong> precision<br />

alloys. Since 1988, he has been Direc<strong>to</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Metallurgy and Ore Dressing<br />

Institute in Alma Ata that was founded in 1956 <strong>to</strong> develop new methods <strong>of</strong><br />

extracting and producing metals used in industry such as alumina, low-grade<br />
