Abstract<br />

It is known that in circumstances and occasions where motivation is taken granted,<br />

productivity rises howe<strong>ve</strong>r; in poor circumstances productivity and job satisfaction<br />

is low whate<strong>ve</strong>r the abilities of the employees. The aim of this study is identifying<br />

the job satisfaction of the nurses, midwi<strong>ve</strong>s and health officers who work in Muğla<br />

centre district and the factors that affect the job satisfaction.<br />

The uni<strong>ve</strong>rse of the research is constituted of 219 people who work in Muğla<br />

State Hospital, Muğla Cottage Hospitals Numbered I-II-III and Muğla Province of<br />

Health Department including in 158 nurses, 44 midwi<strong>ve</strong>s and 17 health officers. In<br />

collecting the data, a two-sectioned sur<strong>ve</strong>y sheet in which the socio-demographic<br />

properties are questioned and job satisfaction in<strong>ve</strong>ntory takes place. In evaluating<br />

the data; a<strong>ve</strong>rage, standard deviation, percentage, methods are used.<br />

In consequence of statistical analysis, it is identified that the le<strong>ve</strong>l of general<br />

job satisfaction of the health staff is in between le<strong>ve</strong>l with 93,09±19, 41. In job<br />

satisfaction in<strong>ve</strong>ntory:<br />

• The rate of being pleased with the payment in return for the work is %<br />

20.6<br />

• The rate of being pleased with the extra pay in working place is 14.6<br />

• The rate of being pleased with the in service instruction programme is %<br />

23.3<br />

• The rate of being pleased with the communication style between the<br />

workers is % 43.9<br />

• The rate of being pleased with the physical condiştions of the working place<br />

is %24.2<br />

• The rate of being pleased with the technological facilities in working place<br />

is % 30.5<br />
