Abstract<br />

The main purpose of in<strong>ve</strong>stment on people and technology is to performance while<br />

ensuring productivity and efficiency. This effect can only be realized by competent<br />

and knowledgeable people working together. One of the most attracti<strong>ve</strong> practice in<br />

recent years is encouraging teamwork practices to increase worker’s performance.<br />

Health care workers performance is affected by a number of factors but motivation,<br />

communication, leadership, adaptation and heterogeneity are the leading factors.<br />

Hospitals are social and economic organizations with interconnected departments.<br />

Health profession’s failures or negati<strong>ve</strong> behaviors can result in negati<strong>ve</strong> consequences<br />

not only to patients but also hospitals as well. For this reason, creating an efficient<br />

teamwork environment is essential for organizational success. This study aims<br />

at presenting the benefits of a planned performance assessment for managers,<br />

workers and the organization in general.<br />

Hypothesis of the research focus on motivation, communication, leadership,<br />

adaptation and heterogeneity as sub dimensions of the teamwork. The relationship<br />

between motivation, communication, leadership and compliance as consequences<br />

of teamwork and personnel performance is analyzed. All hypotheses between these<br />

factors and performance were accepted. A literature research was conducted fort<br />

he relationship between teamwork and performance and number of studies were<br />

analyzed.<br />

Currently, almost in all global studies, teamwork is suggested at organizational<br />

de<strong>ve</strong>lopment le<strong>ve</strong>l and has attracted attention from various studies carried out in the<br />

health sector. It is important to increase their performance while satisfying workers<br />

and increasing their devotion to the organization. A successful teamwork not only<br />

increases the personnel’s motivation but also ensures to de<strong>ve</strong>lop himself / herself<br />

and with this way ensures to increase devotion to the organization. The importance<br />

of communication for health care organizations is evident. To practice teamwork<br />

successfully, a capable leader and leadership comprehension is a prerequisite. The<br />

right leadership comprehension and working with right leaders carry the team to<br />

success. Teamwork among health workers and hospital management – motivation<br />

and communication- effected performance positi<strong>ve</strong>ly.<br />

1. GİRİŞ<br />

Gelişen dünyada diğer tüm alanlarda olduğu gibi sağlık alanında da, ‘Liderlik’,<br />

‘Takım Çalışması’ <strong>ve</strong> ‘Motivasyon’, insanların işlerini se<strong>ve</strong>rek yapmaları <strong>ve</strong> en üst<br />

düzeyde performans göstermeleri için bir gereklilik olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır.<br />

Günümüzün daha fazla uzmanlık, mantıksallık <strong>ve</strong> daha az hata isteyen sağlık<br />

ortamlarında doktorlar, hemşireler <strong>ve</strong> diğer sağlık personeli arasında işbirliği olması<br />

bir gerekliliktir.<br />
