ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİ<br />

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren hastanelerde, teknoloji yatırımları<br />

(bilgi, ofis <strong>ve</strong> klinik teknolojilere yapılan yatırım) <strong>ve</strong> sürekli iyileştirme uygulamalarının<br />

hastanelerin kalite <strong>ve</strong> finansal performansı üzerindeki etkilerini <strong>ve</strong> bu ilişkide kalite<br />

performansının ara değişken etkisini incelemektir. Bu amaçla, Türkiye genelinde<br />

418 hastanenin 860 yöneticisinden anket yoluyla <strong>ve</strong>ri toplanmış <strong>ve</strong> bu <strong>ve</strong>ri; faktör,<br />

korelasyon <strong>ve</strong> regresyon analizleriyle test edilmiştir. SPSS 13.0 paket programı<br />

kullanılarak yapılan regresyon analizi sonucunda, bilgi&ofis teknolojileri, klinik<br />

teknolojiler, yetenek <strong>ve</strong> yetkilendirmenin kalite <strong>ve</strong> finansal performans üzerinde<br />

istatistiksel olarak anlamlı etkiye sahip oldukları, eğitimin ise sadece kalite<br />

performansı üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna<br />

ulaşılmıştır. <strong>Kalite</strong> performansının ara değişken etkisini ölçmek için yapılan regresyon<br />

analizi sonucunda, kalite performansının, bilgi&ofis teknolojileri <strong>ve</strong> yetkilendirme<br />

ile finansal performans arasındaki ilişkide kısmi ara değişken, klinik teknolojiler<br />

<strong>ve</strong> yetenek ile finansal performans arasındaki ilişkide tam ara değişken olduğu<br />

sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.<br />

Abstract<br />

Our aim in this study is to in<strong>ve</strong>stigate the effect of technology in<strong>ve</strong>stment and<br />

continuous impro<strong>ve</strong>ment on quality performance and financial performance in<br />

hospitals. For this purpose, data are obtained from 860 managers of 418 hospitals<br />

via questionnaires administrated all around Turkey. Exploratory factor analysis<br />

is used to analyze the data. We also use regression analysis to explore the<br />

relationship among the factors. SPSS 13.0 software package is used in the analysis.<br />

We find that information and office technologies, clinical technologies, competence<br />

and empowerment ha<strong>ve</strong> a statistically significant effect on quality and financial<br />

performance. We also measure the mediating effect of quality performance and<br />

find that it has a partial mediating effect on the relationship of information and<br />

office technologies and empowerment with financial performance. Howe<strong>ve</strong>r, it acts<br />

as a full mediating variable on the relationship between clinical technologies and<br />

competence and financial performance.<br />
