υψηλού κινδύνου, ανάλυση από την CRUCADE registry<br />

για την τάση χρήσης PCI, CABG ή φαρμακευτική<br />

αγωγή στα NSTEMI ΟΣΣ έδειξε σημαντική αύξηση<br />

της επεμβατικής αντιμετώπισης από 38% σε 53%<br />

απο το 2002 έως το 2005. Επίσης, αναλύσεις από<br />

τη μελέτη SYNERGY έδειξαν μείωση των ποσοστών<br />

θανάτου ή εμφράγματος καθώς το χρονικό διάστημα<br />

από την εμφάνιση μέχρι την αγγειογραφία μειώθηκε,<br />

με την adjusted odds ratio 0,56 για αγγειογραφία που<br />

διενεργείται < 6 ωρες σε σχέση με τους ασθενείς<br />

που υποβάλλονται καθυστερημένα ή καθόλου σε<br />

στεφανιογραφικό έλεγχο(71).Το όφελος της πρώιμης<br />

επεμβατικής αντιμετώπισης συγκριτικά με την όψιμη<br />

παρέμενε ακόμη και όταν η αγγειγραφία γινόταν<br />

και μέχρι 30 ώρες. Δεδομένα, από την Canadian ACS<br />

registry έδειξε οτι ο κύριος λόγος που οι ασθενείς δεν<br />

οδηγήθηκαν σε στεφανιογραφία ήταν λόγω της ιατρικής<br />

εντύπωσης οτι οι ασθενείς δεν ανήκαν σε ομάδα<br />

υψηλού κινδύνου παρότι το 59% ήταν μέσου υψηλού<br />

κινδύνου σύμφωνα με το ΤΙΜΙ risk score(72).<br />
