Chapter 4: Use StandardsSECTION 4.4: TEMPORARY USE STANDARDSSubsection 4.4.6: Specific Regulations for Certain Temporary Uses and Structures(e)No Permanent StructuresThe special event shall not include the construction of any permanentstructures.(3) ConditionsIn approving the temporary use permit for the special event, the PlanningDirector is authorized to impose such conditions upon the premises benefitedby the permit as may be necessary to reduce or minimize any potentialadverse impacts upon other land in the area, as long as the condition relatesto a situation created or aggravated by the proposed special event. ThePlanning Director is authorized, where appropriate, to require:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)(g)(h)(i)(j)Provision of temporary parking facilities, including vehicular access andegress.Control of nuisance factors, such as but not limited to, the preventionof glare or direct illumination of adjacent properties, noise, vibrations,smoke, dust, dirt, odors, gases, and heat.Regulation of temporary buildings, structures and facilities, includingplacement, height and size, location of equipment and open spaces,including buffer areas and other yards.Provision of sanitary and medical facilities.Provision of solid waste collection and disposal.Provision of security and safety measures.Use of an alternative location or date for the proposed special event.Modification or elimination of certain proposed activities.Regulation of operating hours and days, including limitation of theduration of the special event to a shorter time period than thatrequested or specified in this subsection.Submission of a performance guarantee to ensure that any temporaryfacilities or structures used for such proposed special event will beremoved from the site within a reasonable time following the eventand that the property will be restored to its former condition.CURRITUCK COUNTY, NC UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE4.73
