Chapter 2: AdministrationSECTION 2.2: ADVISORY AND DECISION-MAKING BODIESSubsection 2.2.5: Technical Review Committee(c)(d)Construction drawings (for major subdivisions); andFinal plats (for major subdivisions).(2) Recommendation AuthorityTo review and make recommendations on the following:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)Conditional rezonings;Planned developments;Use permits;Type II preliminary plats (for major subdivisions);Temporary use permits; and<strong>Development</strong> agreements.(3) Additional DutiesThe TRC shall have the following additional duties:(a)(b)(c)B. Membership and AppointmentC. ChairParticipate in pre-application conferences;Provide its expertise and technical assistance to the Planning Directorin compiling and maintaining an Administrative Manual and inestablishing application content requirements and a submissionschedule for review of applications and appeals; andProvide its expertise and technical assistance to the county’s otherdecision-making bodies, upon request.(1) The TRC shall consist of the following county departments or officials, andagencies involved with development review:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)(g)Planning and Community <strong>Development</strong>;Engineering;Public Utilities;Fire-Emergency Medical Services;Soil and Water Conservation;Chief Building Inspector; andAlbemarle Regional Health Services.(2) Representatives from other county departments and from non-countyregulatory agencies and service providers generally involved with developmentreview (such as the North Carolina Department of Transportation and theSchool Board) may serve as voting members of the TRC. The Chair mayrequest attendance by representatives of other local or state agencies, whereappropriate, for an adequate review of an application.The Planning Director shall serve as Chair of the TRC, and shall schedule committeemeetings, coordinate the committee’s activities, preside over committee meetings,prepare committee reports, and serve as liaison to the departments and agenciesinvolved for clarification of issues and resolution of conflicts.CURRITUCK COUNTY, NC UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE2.8
