Floodplain <strong>Development</strong> Permit Review StandardsA floodplain development permit shall be approved only upon a finding that all of thefollowing standards are met:(1) The permit is issued prior to the commencement of development;(2) The development proposed within the special flood hazard area complies withthe standards in Section 7.4, Flood Damage Prevention, and all otherapplicable standards in this <strong>Ordinance</strong> and the <strong>County</strong> Code of <strong>Ordinance</strong>s;and(3) The floodplain development permit includes:(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)(f)A description of development to be permitted under the floodplaindevelopment permit.The special flood hazard area determination for the proposeddevelopment in accordance with available data specified in Section 7.4,Flood Damage Prevention.The regulatory flood protection elevation required for the referencelevel, all attendant utilities, and the protection of all public utilities asapplicable.All certification submittal requirements with appropriate timelines.A statement that no fill material or other development shall encroachinto the floodway or non-encroachment area of any watercourse, asapplicable.Flood openings requirements, if in flood zones A or AE.E. Effect of ApprovalApproval of a floodplain development permit authorizes an applicant to obtain allrequired elevation certificates or other required certificates and proceed withconstruction following issuance of a building permit.F. Amendment of ApprovalApplicable (see Section 2.3.14).G.
