Eachbusiness unit may have one temporarydouble-sided on-premise sign, provided:1. The sign shall be located on an existingsidewalk or deck, and immediatelyadjacent to the entrance of the businessinstalling the sign and comply with theoutdoor display requirements of Section3.4.3.O where applicable;2. The sign may be located adjacent toNC 12 from October 1 to May 15provided it is located on the same parcelas the business or on shopping centerproperty (including common area).3. The sign shall be removed if thebusiness is closed on 3 or moreconsecutive days.Limited to a maximum of two per lot onthe mainland; prohibited on the OuterBanks. Must be 10 feet from side or rearlot lines and outside sight triangles.Shall not exceed 25 percent of the totalwindow pane area that contains the sign,except that trademark and merchandisedisplayed for sale shall not be included inthe total window sign area.32 108 4Up to 40 total 105.12.5. Determining Sign Number, Area, and HeightA. For the purpose of determining the number of signs, a sign shall be considered to be asingle display surface or display device containing elements organized information.When displayed in a random manner without an organized relationship of elements,each element shall be considered as a single sign.B.
