Chapter 5: <strong>Development</strong> StandardsSECTION 5.2: LANDSCAPING STANDARDSSubsection 5.2.7: ScreeningB. General RequirementsIn addition to the site landscaping, vehicular use area landscaping, and perimeter bufferstandards in this section, screening shall be required to conceal specific areas of highvisual or auditory impact or hazardous areas from both on-site and off-site views (seeFigure 5.2.7, Screening Methods). Such areas shall be screened at all times, unlessotherwise specified, regardless of adjacent uses, districts, or other proximatelandscaping material.C. Items to Be ScreenedThe following areas shall be screened from off-site views in accordance with thissection:(1) Large waste receptacles (dumpsters) and refuse collection points (includingcardboard recycling containers);Figure 5.2.7, Screening Methods(2) Loading docks or bays;(3) Outdoor storage areas, in accordance with Section 4.3.3.P;(4) To the extent feasible given access requirements, ground-based utilityequipment in excess of 12 cubic feet; and(5) Ground level mechanical units, from public streets only.D. Screening MethodsThe following items are permitted for use as screening materials.
