It may alsobe reduced to ten feet if the use generates less than five vehicle trips per day.D. Driveway Spacing and Alignment StandardsExcept for a single-family dwelling, two-to-four family dwelling, and lot fronting arestricted access street, a new driveway shall comply with the following minimumspacing standards:(1) A new driveway shall be located at least 100 feet from the centerline of anexisting driveway or street on the same lot or an adjacent lot along the sameblock face.(2) A new driveway shall be directly aligned with a driveway on opposing lots, orshall be located at least 100 feet from the centerline of a driveway on anopposing lot, to the maximum extent practicable.E. Restricted Access StreetsWhen sufficient frontage on a separate street is not available or access from a separatestreet is not practicable, the following standards shall apply to driveways on a majorarterial street.(1) Where AppliedThe following restricted access street standards shall apply to lots fronting thefollowing streets:(a) US 158;(b) NC 168;(c) NC 12;(d) NC 34;(e) NC 136;(f) NC 615;(g) SR 1222 (Tulls Creek Road); and(h) SR 1131 (Poplar Branch Road).CURRITUCK COUNTY, NC UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE5.51
