Juan Mata Juan Mata
Juan Mata present6 un bosquejo de 10s diserios
standardizados que se utilizaron en el Peru. Dichos
disenos se pueden adaptar a las condiciones
caracten’sticas de1 lugar.
Generalidades
Hidroelectricas pequefias” de1 Ing” Tsugo Nosaki 1”
edition.
“disenos tipicos.”
En muchos cases, 10s disenos tipicos solo podran
aplicarse con modificaciones, adaptandose a la con-
figuration de1 terreno. En otros cases, por la gran
cantidad de parametros naturales, no es posible
desarrollar un diserio tipico sin6 solamente dar
indicaciones generales para facilitar el diseno
particular.
Juan Mata presented an outline of the standar-
dized designs used in Peru. These designs may
be adapted to suit site conditions.
General Remarks
The Office of the Program of Applied
Technology (OPTA) has adopted typical designs
for the main civil works re!ated to minihydro-
power plants (up to 500 I/s.) for the purpose of ap-
plying such blueprints to a large number of pro-
jects that are in the making. These typical
blueprints were taken from the Guide for the
Development of Small Hydropower Plant Projects
by Eng. Tsugo Nosaki, 1st. edition.
The main criterion for application of such
designs is that they should offer an economical
as well as dependable solution to the numerous
problems present when taking advantage of our
many waterfalls to obtain hydropower generation.
Since topography, hydrology and other natural
conditions are different in every case, standardiz-
ed designs cannot be used for all civil works
without damaging the efficiency or the economy
of the installation. Consequently, “typical
designs” can only be applied within certain
limitations and conditions which may be con-
sidered normal within the typical configuration of
the country, that is, in those cases where the
paramenters determined by nature are similar to
the premises established by the “ typical
designs.”
In many cases, the typical designs will have to
be applied with modifications, adapting them to
the configurations of each site. Zn other cases,
the wide variety of natural characteristics does
not permit us to follow a typical design, but re-
quires establishment of general guidelines to
facilitate the development of a special design
