1 1/2 cups water<br />

1/4 tsp salt<br />

1/4 tsp cayenne<br />

Sauté the mushrooms in the oil until they begin to brown. Add the onion and cook until it becomes<br />

translucent. Add the remaining ingredients and cook on low heat until the sauce thickens. You can add<br />

more water to make a thinner sauce. Serve over potatoes, sliced toast or gluten etc.<br />

Southern Tomato Sauce<br />

1 medium onion, minced<br />

2 small bell peppers, thinly sliced<br />

2 tsp oil<br />

3 stalks celery, minced<br />

6 cloves garlic, finely shredded<br />

12 medium tomatoes, diced<br />

1 1/2 tsp salt<br />

1/2 tsp thyme<br />

1 tsp basil<br />
