1 cup firm tofu mashed<br />

1 cup tomato paste<br />

1/4 cup oil<br />

1 tbsp hickory smoke<br />

1 1/2 tbsp mustard<br />

1 tbsp garlic powder<br />

1 tbsp onion powder<br />

1 tbsp Spike (regular or salt free)<br />

1 1/2 cups oats<br />

1/2 cup sunflower seeds, ground<br />

2 tbsp Bragg’s or Tamari<br />

2 1/2 cups seitan, ground<br />

1/4 cup nutritional yeast<br />

2 1/2 cups cooked millet<br />

Method<br />

In a food processor, using the S blade, whiz together the tofu, tomato paste, oil, hickory smoke,<br />

mustard, garlic powder, onion powder and spike. Set aside in a bowl.<br />

Then, whiz together the oats and sunflower seeds to a fine meal, then add to the bowl with the tofu<br />

mixture.<br />

Grind the seitan in the same food processor and add to the bowl.<br />

Add the remaining ingredients to the tofu mixture and mix well. Form into 12 burger patties and place on<br />

an oiled baking sheet. Bake at 350F until cooked, about 35-45 minutes.<br />
