Status Codes<br />

Explanation: The <strong>NetBackup</strong> internal catalogs were backed up by using the bpbackupdb<br />

command line and specifying a device path that does not exist.<br />

Recommended Action: Retry the command using a valid device file name.<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 123<br />

Message: specified disk path is not a directory<br />

Explanation: <strong>NetBackup</strong> attempted to back up its internal catalogs and the backup<br />

attributes were set to dump to a disk. However, the disk file path already exists and is not<br />

a directory.<br />

Recommended Action: Specify a different disk path <strong>for</strong> the catalog backup or delete the<br />

file that already exists.<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 124<br />

Message: NB database backup failed, a path was not found or is inaccessible<br />

Explanation: One or more of the paths specified in the catalog backup configuration could<br />

not be backed up.<br />

Recommended Action:<br />

1. Check the <strong>NetBackup</strong> Problems report <strong>for</strong> additional in<strong>for</strong>mation about the error. A<br />

possible cause is that the path does not exist.<br />

2. After determining which path could not be accessed, correct the path names in the<br />

catalog backup configuration.<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 125<br />

Message: another NB database backup is already in progress<br />

Explanation: Only one <strong>NetBackup</strong> catalog backup may be active at any given time.<br />

Recommended Action: None.<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 126<br />

Message: NB database backup header is too large, too many paths specified<br />

Explanation: Too many paths were specified in the <strong>NetBackup</strong> catalog backup<br />

configuration to fit in a fixed-size media header. This error should not occur under normal<br />

circumstances.<br />

Recommended Action: Delete some of the paths from the catalog backup configuration.<br />
