2. Use the <strong>NetBackup</strong> Activity Monitor, or the Services application in the <strong>Windows</strong><br />

Control Panel, to stop the following services, if they are running.<br />

◆ <strong>NetBackup</strong> Request Manager service<br />

◆ <strong>NetBackup</strong> Database Manager service<br />

◆ <strong>NetBackup</strong> Device Manager service<br />

◆ <strong>NetBackup</strong> Volume Manager service<br />

3. Use the Activity Monitor, or the Services application in the <strong>Windows</strong> Control Panel, to<br />

verify that the <strong>NetBackup</strong> Client Manager service is running. Start it if necessary.<br />

4. On the <strong>NetBackup</strong> server where the drive attaches, execute the bprecover<br />

command. Specify the raw-device path <strong>for</strong> the drive where you inserted the tape in<br />

step 1.<br />

This example interactively restores images to disk 1 on Figure 3 by using raw-device<br />

path \\.\Tape1:<br />

bprecover -r -tpath \\.\Tape1<br />
