Disk to<br />

restore<br />

1. Repartition the disks<br />

2. Install <strong>NetBackup</strong><br />

3. Install any <strong>NetBackup</strong> patches<br />

4. Update external mapping files<br />

5. Enable debug logging<br />

6. Stop all <strong>NetBackup</strong> services<br />

except the <strong>NetBackup</strong> Client<br />

service<br />

7. Recover <strong>NetBackup</strong> catalogs:<br />

install_path\<strong>NetBackup</strong>\db<br />

install_path\<strong>NetBackup</strong>\var<br />

install_path\Volmgr\database<br />

8. Start all <strong>NetBackup</strong> services<br />

9. Restore all other files (do not<br />

restore catalogs)<br />

10. Check debug logs and correct<br />

any problems<br />

11. Reboot the system<br />

Verify that you have:<br />

◆ <strong>NetBackup</strong> server software <strong>for</strong> <strong>Windows</strong><br />

◆ The latest <strong>NetBackup</strong> catalog backup on tape or disk<br />

policies or devices.<br />
