Restores - <strong>Windows</strong> 95/98 Clients<br />

Backup and Restore Functional Description<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> supports the same types of restore operations on <strong>Windows</strong> 95 and 98 clients as<br />

it does <strong>for</strong> UNIX clients. The next figure shows the client processes involved in these<br />

operations. On this figure:<br />

◆ The user interface program on <strong>Windows</strong> 95/98 is called NBWIN. The bprestore and<br />

bplist functions are merged into NBWIN.<br />

◆ The <strong>NetBackup</strong> client daemon is called BPCDW32. The <strong>NetBackup</strong> tar functions are<br />

merged into BPCDW32.<br />

The server processes are the same as described <strong>for</strong> UNIX.<br />
