Status Codes<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> <strong>4.5</strong> <strong>Troubleshooting</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Windows</strong><br />

1. Examine command output (if available) and debug logs <strong>for</strong> a more detailed message<br />

on the error, as follows.<br />

a. If not already enabled, enable debug logging by creating the necessary<br />

directories/folders. Increase the level of verbosity by adding the VERBOSE<br />

option in the vm.conf file and restarting the daemons/services, or by executing<br />

the command’s verbose option, if available.<br />

b. Retry the operation and examine the logs.<br />

2. If possible, re-attempt the requested operation using another user interface that<br />

supports the type of request.<br />

Media Manager Status Code: 15<br />

Message: invalid volgroup<br />

Explanation: A requested operation encountered a case where the volume group was<br />

either not specified, not in an acceptable <strong>for</strong>mat, or exceeded the allowed length of a<br />

volume group.<br />

Recommended Action:<br />

1. Examine command output (if available) and debug logs <strong>for</strong> a more detailed message<br />

on the error, as follows.<br />

Explanation: A requested operation encountered a missing or out-of-range robot slot<br />

number, or a move by volume group residence was attempted when the volume had not<br />

originated from a valid robotic library slot.<br />
