<strong>NetBackup</strong> <strong>4.5</strong> <strong>Troubleshooting</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Windows</strong><br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 309<br />

Message: report requested without eject being run<br />

Explanation: This error occurs when a report is run that requires media to have been<br />

ejected first.<br />

Recommended Action: Per<strong>for</strong>m one of these actions:<br />

◆ Rerun vlteject or vltopmenu to eject the media <strong>for</strong> the session be<strong>for</strong>e generating<br />

the reports.<br />

◆ Reconfigure the profile to allow the eject step to be per<strong>for</strong>med when the next vault<br />

session <strong>for</strong> this profile runs.<br />

◆ Disable the report generation in the profile <strong>for</strong> reports that require media to be<br />

ejected.<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 310<br />

Message: invalid configuration <strong>for</strong> duplication to disk<br />

Explanation: This error occurs when an invalid disk storage unit is configured in the vault<br />

profile used to duplicate images to disk, or when the profile is configured to create more<br />

than one copy and one of the copies is targeted <strong>for</strong> a disk storage unit. The latter<br />

configuration will be prevented by the vault interface and should not occur unless the<br />

vault configuration file has been manually altered.<br />

Recommended Action: Ensure that a valid disk storage unit is configured in the profile<br />

by means of the duplication tab. Also ensure that the vault configuration file has not been<br />

manually altered.<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 500<br />

Message: NB-Java application server not accessible - maximum number of connections<br />

exceeded.<br />

Explanation: Indicates that an attempted login failed because the maximum number of<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong>-Java user services has been achieved. Although the number of allowed user<br />

services is very large (>100), it is possible to reach the maximum.<br />

Recommended Action: Ask other users to log off (this limit is not configurable).<br />

<strong>NetBackup</strong> Status Code: 501<br />

Message: You are not authorized to use this application.<br />

Explanation: The user is not authorized to use one of the <strong>NetBackup</strong> Java Administration<br />

utilities on the host specified in the login dialog.<br />
