Status Codes<br />

Explanation: A Media Manager command was executed with improper options or there is<br />

an incompatibility between components or versions of the product.<br />

Recommended Action:<br />

1. Examine command output, debug logs, and system logs <strong>for</strong> a more detailed message<br />

on the error, as follows.<br />

a. If not already enabled, enable debug logging by creating the necessary<br />

directories/folders. Increase the level of verbosity by adding the VERBOSE<br />

option in the vm.conf file and restarting the daemons/services, or by executing<br />

the command’s verbose option, if available.<br />

b. Retry the operation and examine the logs.<br />

2. Check the usage statement <strong>for</strong> expected usage and compare with the parameters<br />

being sent to start the new process.<br />

3. Verify that all Media Manager binaries are at a compatible version level.<br />

Media Manager Status Code: 5<br />

Message: daemon resources are busy<br />

Explanation: A requested operation could not be processed because resources were busy.<br />

Recommended Action: Check the status of any resources used by the requested<br />

operation. On a robotic inventory request, verify that the inventory operation completes<br />

within the allotted time (7 minutes <strong>for</strong> robot types ACS, LMF, RSM, TLH, TLM, TS8, TSD,<br />

TSH, and 32 minutes <strong>for</strong> other robot types).<br />

Media Manager Status Code: 6<br />

Message: invalid protocol request<br />

Explanation: An invalid request was sent to a Media Manager robotic process or operator<br />

request process.<br />
