čoveku (Linguistics on man, chapter on Language errors). In what follows, the author devotes
her attention to the psycholinguistic conception in the research of language/speech
errors, their classification, and the principles of their interpretation within the modular
and interactive models of language production. Since language/speech errors are not a
random phenomenon, because of their regularity concerning the linguistic level, as well
as the type of underlying mental processes, the errors must be treated as a relevant source
of information about the processes of language production, as well as about the lexical
and structural relationship between particular linguistic units and, respectively, their representations
in the mental lexicon. The author concludes that linguistic theories founded
on these premises, which rely on the empirical verification of cognitive linguistic processes,
represent the psychological reality of linguistic knowledge, and are thus not mere
formal and elegant grammatical solutions.
