The condolences and prayers of Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church
Andhra Pradesh India are with you. We grieve with the world and
pray for your guidance and comfort.

With the Christian family throughout the world we mourn the
sudden death of Pope John Paul I in the early days of his new ministry.
The pastoral tone he had set for his pontificate impressed our people,
and his stated intention to proceed without hésitation in furthering
Christian unity filled us with hope and joy. We pray that God will
comfort our Catholic brothers and sisters in their loss, and will give
the Church's leaders the spirit of wisdom in determining who shall
fili the papal office so soon lef t vacant.
