Angriffsfähigkeit der bosnischen Serben in Ostbosnien beeinträchtigen. 1548 Bei der
Diskussion dieser Punkte kommt natürlich auch die Frage ziviler Opfer bzw. der
sogenannte Kollateralschaden 1549 wieder zur Sprache, die bei einer möglichen
Ausweitung der Angriffe entstehen würden und die man, will man weiter den Support
der Verbündeten und der öffentlichen Meinung, unbedingt vermeiden muß.
Aber US-Group Captain Trevor Murray, Chief Air Operations, bleibt gelassen und
macht am 9. September keine genaueren Angaben über weitere Ziele wie etwa
Brücken: “It is almost unevitable in this sort of operation that once you start attacking
bridges like that, that it is going ot impact on the civilian population. We are aware of
that, but we have selected a number of targets for their military significance...(...) I
can’t give you a count on the number of bridges, or indeed on the number of
targets.” 1550 Murray kann auch gelassen bleiben, denn bevor die Option einer
Ausweitung und Intensivierung der Angriffe zum Tragen kommen muss, sind die
Politiker in ihren Verhandlungen schneller und entheben die Militärs damit dieser
Verantwortung.
Am selben Tag greift die NATO Lukavica und Kljuc, rund 15 Meilen südwestlich
Banja Luka an. Im Raum Sarajevo war Lukavica - wie Dobrinja - bereits zuvor nicht
überraschend regelmäßiges Ziel der Angriffe gewesen. 1551 „The targets there early

illuminated he nearby Government-held suburb of Dobrinja for 30 minutes.
Secondary explosions were heard, and residents of Dobrinja said the fire burned
