A survey on procreation health of four cities‘ unmarried females who had an abortion
made by the medical experts from Peking University First Hospital, shows that
genitalia infection is one of the most dangerous diseases to harm unmarried females
who had an abortion. The experts suggest college students‘ health education of sex
and procreation should be paid more attention.
These 2002 samples were got from ten hospitals in four cities: Beijing, Zhengzhou,
Nanning and Shenzhen aged from 14 to 24. The survey showed that 33% of the
samples had the first sexuality under 19, someone even at the age of 13. 17% of the
samples had never taken any conception controls. Among them, the incidence of
genitalia infection is 57.1 % and 27% had genitalia infection before. Among the 1144
suffers, 57.6% have one kind of infection, 25.3% two and 17.1% three.
The analysis shows that students, service employers, local residents, females
having the sexuality under 19 with bad habit and without conception controls are apt
to get genitalia infection.
The experts appeals to the whole society to pay more attention to females, especially
unmarried females genitalia health and reinforce the health education of sex and
procreation to college students.
