A Lecture for Memorializing the 12.9
Movement by Vice-Secretary of Jilin

Peking University Beijing, Dec. 9th (2005): Vice-Secretary, Jilin Provincial
Committee of the CPC, Lin Yanzhi gave a lecture in North Hall of Peking University
Library at 2p.m. Dec. 9th 2005. Vice-Secretary Lin talked about the 12.9 Movement,
and gave the students of Peking University three advices.
Vice-Secretary Lin has a special background and relationship with the 12.9
Movement. His parents were two of the leaders of the 12.9 Movement. His father
was the Secretary, Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC during the 12.9. His
mother was the Chair of Beijing Student Association that time. He talked about a lot
of details about the 12.9 movement.
Correspondingly, Vice-Secretary Lin gave the students of Peking University three
advices. First, the youth should go in for verities. As he said, 80 years ago the youth
in China accepted the Communism, and it was just this verities guided the
development of China until today. Secondly, the youth should be held together with
the CPC. Although, there are some defects of the Party, he mentioned, comparing
with the others CPC is the best one working hard for its nation. Thirdly, the youth
should love the worker and the farmer. Without the love of the worker and the farmer,
one cannot make a contribution to the nation.
After the talk, many students asked questions, it could not go to the very last
question.
