Forum of PhDs from College of
Marxism of 3 Top Universities

Peking University, Beijing, June 3rd (2006): The 7th forum of PhD candidates from
College of Marxism of 3 universities —— Renmin University of China, Tsinghua
University and Peking University —— was held in the Overseas Exchange Center of
Peking University on June 3, 2006.
This forum has been held in turn by Peking University, Renmin University of China
and Tsinghua University. The first forum was held at Peking University in 2002 and it
was the third time that it came to Peking University. The forum provided a platform
for the scholars of Marxism to communicate with each other.
The vice-head of Department of Social Science of the Ministry of Education of China,
Xu Weifan addressed first. The chief of Propaganda Section of the Commission of
Education Beijing, Di Tao celebrated then. After that, the vice-secretary of the Party
Committee of Peking University addressed. The dean of the College of Marxism of
the three universities presented at the forum.
Six excellent theses written by PhD candidates from the three universities were
commended on the forum. After a short tea break, the six PhD candidates, who had
been awarded, each gave a talk about their theses.
