<strong>PKU</strong> Students Beating Tsinghua Team<br />

In the ―Aigo‖ Chess Competition<br />

<strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong>, Beijing Nov. 22nd, 2005: The 2nd ―Aigo‖ <strong>Peking</strong><br />

<strong>University</strong>—Tsinghua <strong>University</strong> Chess Competition was held in Tsinghua <strong>University</strong><br />

on November, 19th. Each delegation was composed <strong>of</strong> 100 students and the<br />

competition was carried out in these 100 pairs. <strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong> became the winner<br />

with 59: 41 at last. Tsinghua delegation was the winner last year.<br />

The size <strong>of</strong> this year‘s competition doubled compared with the one last year.<br />

Besides, the rule had also changed so they should compete in a single game instead<br />

<strong>of</strong> two, which required higher chess levels and better mentality. What‗s more, the<br />

―Aigo‖ chess combined the international chess and Chinese chess together and<br />

there were some changes in rule.<br />

The competition won supports from Chinese International Chess Association and<br />

Beijing Huaqi Digital Science Company.<br />
