during the preparation period. According to one student from the six-student group,
the six of them have practiced their songs for at least 300 times before going onto the
stage. They got together every evening and practiced from 20:00 to 00:30.One can
hardly imagine how much time they have spent after class, let alone how they have
expended all their energies to improve every note and every action of their
performance.
Indeed, teachers and students made concerted efforts in achieving a delicate
preparation: From the creation of the songs, the arrangement of the dance to the
image design. In conclusion, without the leaders of Peking University attaching
importance to this contest, without the great efforts made by Professor Hou and her
assiduous students, Peking University delegation can‘t make such a great
achievement in such a great singing contest.
The final result of the 11th China Youth TV Singing contest (unprofessional team
competition) came out at the night of May 9th, and Peking University delegation won
the 6th place by 573.23.
We are delighted to see that our students not only are rising to the top as new
singing stars around China, but also have presented the typical elegant demeanors
of Peking University students to all the audiences across the country.
