The Forum <strong>of</strong> Automobile Industry's<br />

Prospect<br />

<strong>PKU</strong> <strong>News</strong>, Beijing, March 11th, 2004: A forum <strong>of</strong> automobile's future prospect<br />

opens today at <strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong>.<br />

First, Li Jun, vice proprietor <strong>of</strong> China Consumers Press, addressed the forum. Mr.<br />

Cui Xuewen‘s speech was focusing on the point that the independent brands were<br />

the souls <strong>of</strong> automobile industry. Combined with the experience <strong>of</strong> Hrfei Motor Co.,<br />

LTD, he explained why and how to develop companies‘ own brands and the effects<br />

<strong>of</strong> independent brands. Mr. Li Jia flashed back over his company‘s history and<br />

concluded that it was very important for companies to choose proper marketing<br />

strategy and always compete with other companies while good products and<br />

excellent service being the essential factors. Then Mr. Guo Zhenxi deduced<br />

marketing from the a media perspective. He introduced the important role media<br />

played in the economic development based on the statistics <strong>of</strong> CCTV‘s advertising<br />

incomes. He said that advertising increase just reflected the development <strong>of</strong> different<br />

industries and advertising service department also accelerated the economics <strong>of</strong><br />

many areas and new industries. As an alumnus <strong>of</strong> Beijing Normal <strong>University</strong>, Mr. Li<br />

Jindian told students to remember three principles when making marketing:<br />

confidence, benefits and individuation.<br />

As a conclusion to all the wonderful speeches, Mr, Xue Xu generalized that<br />

companies should create customer values, which were crucial to the survival and<br />

development <strong>of</strong> companies. Mr. Cui Xuewen also left homework to the students, and<br />

he wanted to use the intelligence <strong>of</strong> <strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong> students to design a strategy<br />

to help Hrfei create customer values.<br />

The marketing forum was held annually as an addition to the marketing course <strong>of</strong><br />

department <strong>of</strong> economic science, <strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong> with this year‘s forum being the<br />

second time. It was also sponsored by department <strong>of</strong> advertising service <strong>of</strong> CCTV<br />

and Automobile Weekly <strong>of</strong> China Consumers. The speakers were mostly deputies to<br />

National People‘s Congress and CPPCC, including Cui Xuewen, board chairman <strong>of</strong><br />
