Peking University, Beijing. 27th May, 2008: The 16th PKU Challenge Cup Youth
Science Competition has finished its evaluation of awards, which are to be presented
in the awarding ceremony on 30th May. As important part of this competition, the
collection of special contribution awards has also been completed recently.
PKU Challenge Cup Special Contribution Award was set up in 2004, with the aim to
encourage contestants to do research on subjects concerning the development of
Peking University, to provide useful suggestions or practical solutions, contributing to
the University‘s progress into a world-class leading university. The Challenge Cup
Competition this year has collected over 20 subjects which were significant to the
development of the University. Among them, 11 subjects were funded as the key
subjects of special contribution awards, including ‗Research on Campus Emergence
and Public Relations in Higher Institutions‘, ‗Research on the Traffic Improvement of
PKU‘, ‗How to Protect the Online Image of PKU‘ and so on.
The collection of special contribution awards will be presented to relevant offices of
the University as a reference in policy making.
