The Closing Ceremony of ―Maintaining
the Advanced Nature of CPC
Members‖ Movement at PKU

Peking University, Beijing, Dec.15th, 2005: The closing ceremony of ―Maintaining the
Advanced Nature of CPC Members‖ movement of PKU was held in the Centennial
Commemorative Hall on the afternoon of Dec.13th. Officials attending this ceremony
included Zhu Shanlu, member of the Standing Committee of Beijing Municipal Party
Committee, leader of the ―Maintain the Advanced Nature of CPC Members‖
movement and the Secretary of the Education Work Committee of Municipal Party
Committee; Liu Jian, the vice leader of this movement and the Deputy Secretary of
the Education Work Committee of Municipal Party Committee; Shen Yunsuo, the
leader of the first supervisor group of this movement; Min Weifang, the Secretary
General of the Party Committee of PKU, and Xu Zhihong, the President of PKU.
On behalf of Peking University, Secretary Min Weifang reported the circumstances,
the main operation methods and the experience of the movement at PKU. To make
the movement go more effectively, the Party Committee of PKU first tried on some
experimental units, and then introduced the experience to other branches. The
movement first took place in the leading group of PKU, and in the second half-year,
15207 CPC members and 824 CPC Branches attended this movement, which made
it a great success.
The main operation methods of the movement at PKU:
1, Sum up the operation methods and the experience of the experimental units to
build a stable base for the spreading of this movement and improve the leadership
mechanism: led by the Party Committee, this movement is under the instruction of
the Party Committee and the School Administrations; investigate the branches and
get the number of the CPC members; train the core members; stick to and make
improvement on the working systems.
2, Study and master the instructions of the Central Committee, put the ―Maintain the
Advanced Nature of CPC Members‖ movement the core work of the School Party
Committee.
3, Mobilize the CPC members to attend this movement.
