<strong>Peking</strong> <strong>University</strong>, Beijing, June 13th, 2008: The third China's Advertising Trends<br />

Forum was held at <strong>PKU</strong> Boya International Conference Center on May 30th, which<br />

provide an opportunity for scholars and experts in relevant fields to discuss and<br />

explore the future development <strong>of</strong> China's advertising industry.<br />

The forum was hosted by the School <strong>of</strong> Journalism and Communication (SJC) <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>PKU</strong> and ―Advertising Panorama‖ magazine. Pr<strong>of</strong>. Shao Huaze, honorary President<br />

<strong>of</strong> All-China Journalists Association and Dean <strong>of</strong> the School <strong>of</strong> Journalism and<br />

Communication, Pr<strong>of</strong>. Hai Wen, a well-known economist and Vice-Chancellor <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>PKU</strong>, and many other experts and scholars attended the opening ceremony. Pr<strong>of</strong>.<br />

Chen Gang, Vice Dean <strong>of</strong> SJC was the chairman.<br />

In the opening ceremony, Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Hai Wen made a keynote speech named<br />

"China's economic development and China's advertising industry." Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Chen<br />

Gang elaborated in his speech the ideas and models <strong>of</strong> Creative Communication<br />

Management he recently proposed.<br />

The discussion forum was divided into three topics, including the dissemination <strong>of</strong><br />

creative management, trends in non-traditional media, advertisers‘ non-traditional<br />

suspicions. Discussion was carried out focusing on different themes under each<br />

topic. Lots <strong>of</strong> heavyweights in the advertising industry, business community, and<br />

academic session attended the forum.<br />

An appreciation banquet calling for disaster relief was held on the evening <strong>of</strong> May<br />

30th. Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Yang He, deputy secretary <strong>of</strong> the party committee <strong>of</strong> <strong>PKU</strong>, attended<br />

the dinner and made a speech. During the dinner, organizers <strong>of</strong> the forum called on<br />

the people from advertising industry to help people in disaster areas and the<br />

post-disaster reconstruction work.<br />

The forum was closed on May 31st. This event, aggregating elites <strong>of</strong> Chinese<br />

advertising industry, is a comprehensive display <strong>of</strong> China's new media marketing<br />
