Peking University, Beijing, Nov. 18th, 2007: On the morning of December 12th, the
singing and unveiling ceremony for EDA joint laboratory, co-founded by School of
Software and Microelectronics of Peking University and Altera Corporation, was held
at the Daxing Campus of PKU. General Manger of China in Altera Corporation, Wu
Zhonghai, Associate Department Head of Department of IC Design & Engineering,
Yu Dunshan, etc. attended this ceremony.
This is the second joint laboratory after Altera Corporation co-founding the first one
with Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School.
Altera Corporation was founded in 1983 with the headquarters in California of the
United States. Altera Corporation is the world‘s pioneer in
system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC) solutions, featuring the industry‘s most
advanced programmable logic devices (PLD), associated software tools, intellectual
property software blocks, and state-of-the-art design services.
Nowadays, Altera Corporation has more than 500 categories of PLD with different
encapsulations, which can satisfy different consumers‘ demands. The ASSESS
Program of Altera can provide all products‘ information supporting Altera devices,
further optimizing the development environment of MAX+PLUS II.
School of Software and Microelectronics of Peking University has always focused on
the collaboration with famous companies of both international and national since it
was founded. It has already co-founded 16 joint laboratories with IBM, SUN, Intel,
Microsoft and Motorola, etc. and 36 internship bases.
