Club said. To make the drama better understood, they even added some new
elements to the play, according to Cui. ―For example, the eight Black Dressed
People did not exist in the original work,‖ he said.
The performance had been busily preparing from the end of last semester. On
account of financial limits, not only did all performers devote themselves to play, but
also some fraternal communities, such like PKU‘s Youth Associations of the culture
of Ancient Greek and Hebrew, offered their favors generously.
When asked if they had ever considered of commercializing their performances in
the future, Cui Wenqin said: ―In principle, we do not expect to trade our interest and
dream for money. But, as you know, to make the performance more decent, we do
need some financial supports. I should say, we don‘t close the door on commercial
performance, if possible.‖
Due the great success of the first round, the PKU Drama Club was intending to give
further performances in the near future.
