PKU Professors and Students Attended
the Public Lecture by Model Workers

Peking University, Beijing, Nov 11th, 2005: On the afternoon of November 10th, a
public lecture took place in the Hall of the Office Building, PKU, which was presided
over by Zhang Yan, vice secretary of the Party Committee of PKU. During the
lecture, national model workers Xu Zhenchao, Wang Shunyou, and national
advanced workers Hao Songqin, Ming Zhengbin gave a sensational report
respectively.
At the end of the lecture, Zhang Yan delivered a speech to express his hope that
both professors and students at PKU should learn more from the model workers and
advanced workers about their remarkable characters and noble spirits, doing solid
work with quite hard application, and their willingness to devote themselves to work;
last but not least, we should also keep optimistic and firm in face of difficulties that
cannot be easily solved, just as they do.
After that, everyone will make his own contribution to constructing PKU into one of
the world‘s first-class universities
