Table 10 reveals that majority of students rarely or never see their teachers reading in the library or staff room. Which means
teachers are not acting as role models for students to emulate. They are not encouraging their students to imbibe good reading
habits.
Summary of findings
The result of the study revealed the following:
• Majority of students do not read story books or other books of interest during their leisure time at home.
They prefer to chat, hang around with friends, play with their GSM phones, play stations or do stuff on the
