study assured the freedom from any exploitation; participants were assured that their participation or any<br />

information that they may provide will not be used against them in any way. Therefore, people agree to<br />

participate in the study as they may perceive direct personal benefits or as they may benefit the students in<br />

general. Respect for human dignity was the second principle articulated in this study and included the right to<br />

self-determination and the right to full disclosure. The right to self-determination ensured participants the right<br />

to decide voluntarily whether to participate in the study without risking any penalty or prejudicial treatment.<br />

They also have the right to ask questions and ask for clarification. The right to full disclosure was assured in this<br />

study by full description of the nature of the study and all participants in this study were aware that the study is<br />

completely voluntary. The third ethical principle in this study concerned justice, which included participants’<br />

rights to fair treatment and their right to privacy. All students were treated the same if they meet the inclusion<br />

criteria of selection. The right to privacy was observed in this study by assuring anonymity and confidentiality.<br />

All these rights were protected, assured and cleared in the cover letter of the instrument that used in this study.<br />

Permission to proceed with this study was obtained and the voluntary, anonymous and confidential nature of the<br />

study was emphasized.<br />

DATA ANALYSIS<br />

<strong>Education</strong>al Environment<br />

The total degree of educational environment statement was moderate, the mean of statements was 3.33 (SD=<br />

0.65) as shown in table 2.<br />

The above table describes the most important points in the educational environment at BU which were<br />

arranged in order from the higher to lower means, the statement with the highest mean was that the library<br />

services fulfill my academic needs, and the lowest was that the classrooms are suitable in terms of seats, light,<br />

temperature and ventilation.<br />

Application of the Students Centeredness<br />

To explore respondents’ opinions about application of the student centeredness in the learning -teaching<br />

process, three questions were administered in the questionnaire.<br />

The first question was Do you agree with the transition from the teachers centeredness to the students<br />

centeredness in the learning- teaching process? The answers of the question are presented in the following graph:<br />
