Sleduje dynamiku tohto vzťahua kladie si otázku, za akých podmienok sa subkultúra môže transformovať na dominantnú kultúru spoločnosti. Predkladá štúdiuobdobného procesu na príklade ukrajinského kozáctva, ktoré sa dostalo z pozície sociálnej vrstvy obyvateľstva (subkultúry15. – 16. storočia) na pozíciu politickej, vojenskej a kultúrnej elity (dominantnej kultúry 17. – 18. storočia), nositeľa štátotvornýcha národnooslobodzovacích snáh národa, ktorého kultúrne špecifiká prijala majorita a prostredníctvom nich sa začala identifikovať.Autorka poukazuje na význam kontinuity kultúrnej tradície v tomto procese, ktorá vstupuje do interakcie so špecifickýmipolitickými, socioekonomickými a kultúrnymi podmienkami doby.Kľúčové slová: subkultúra, dominantná kultúra, ukrajinské kozáctvo, kultúrna tradícia.AbstractThe author of the article deals with a mutual relation between the subculture and the dominant culture. She studies thedynamics of the relation and asks herself, in which conditions the subculture can be transformed into the dominant culture of asociety. She presents the study of a similar process focusing on Ukrainian cossackhood, which changed its position from a socialstratum (the subculture of 15–16th century) to the political, military and cultural elite (the dominant culture of 17–18th century),the chief representative of national state-forming and nation-liberational efforts, whose cultural values were accepted bythe majority that started to identify itself by means of them. The author points at the importance of cultural tradition continuitywithin the process, which interacts with specific political, socio-economic and cultural conditions of the time.Keywords: subculture, dominant culture, Ukrainian cossackhood, cultural tradition.145
